Beauty Behind the Lens

At the HVS we are so convinced that Hamilton is the beautiful city it aspires to be, that we've decided to show you! Our local artists and photographers have teamed up with the HVS to bring us, "Beauty Behind the Lens." a collaborated effort capturing the natural landscapes and city views that adorn Hamilton and its surroundings.

Featured Artist: Kirsten Watson

Kirsten Watson is a young, experimental photographer who turned to photography as a refuge after being diagnosed with a rare debilitating sleep disorder back in September of 2007. She acknowledges her main influence to be her grandfather, who had given her her first camera. Kirsten's hobbies include writing poetry, and playing soccer. She thoroughly enjoys acting, singing and dancing. It is easy to see that Kirsten has fallen in love with the art of photography, which her pictures clearly reflect. She plans to complete the applied photography course at Sheridan College and aspires to one day own her own studio gallery.
